Flashback Football: Chelsea v Barcelona: Last Gasp Winner

So after Chelsea seemingly pulled off the impossible at Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 win over Barcelona they have to pull off the impossible impossible tonight at the daunting Camp Nou. Second only to Bayern vs R.Madrid as the most played tie in the CL, it is a tie that has many a mouth watering. And it’s not hard to see why when you consider their second leg meeting in the 2009 semi-final.

Once again Chelsea had pulled a big trick; this time keeping a clean sheet at Barca, and they couldn’t have gotten off to a better start in the return leg after Michael Essien hit this wrecking ball:

What followed was 83 minutes of the Catalans slowly taking control of the game and a slew of controversial decisions for both teams. With the time around 92 minutes, Chelsea had looked to have done the job, but balding World Cup winner Andres Iniesta hadn’t had his say yet…

One of the best toe pokes ever had stolen the final spot from the Blues.
